Portside Burrito Bar presents $2 Burritos ALL DAY on 13 July 2013 to celebrate the grand opening of their new location. This Hamilton restaurant has been open for a while, but a grand opening deserves a grand celebration. So come and celebrate in true festive Mexican style on 13 July, with live Mexican music from the mariachi band, competitions, prizes and giveaways. Drop in anytime from 11am to 8pm on 13 July to join in the festivities and enjoy the $2 special of the day.
It's great! Choose any regular burrito with a delicious filling of lime rice, savoury black beans, salsa, cheese and your choice of meat or fish. It gets even better: Burrito Bar is a licensed restaurant and offers a great range of Mexican beers to go with your burritos. And what's the best? Every cent of your $2 goes to Camp Quality to help children living with cancer.
So write it in your diary, type it in your smart phone, or store it in your brain:
And for those who want to start preparing for the competition, here's a challenge question: Who gave these scrumptious wraps the name 'burrito'? Was it the man who transported his homemade flour tortillas on a donkey, or the vendor who called the poor children that bought his wraps 'burritos' (dunces)? There are many stories on how the burrito got its name, but they all agree on one thing: burrito means 'little donkey' in Spanish.
