Last year, the event had to be cancelled due to a huge storm and flooding roads. Hopefully this year the sun will be shining for you to enjoy a trip to Burra to enjoy all things gardening. This year, organisers have two events.

SPRING GARDEN EXPO
This will be held at the Town Hall on the Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of November. There will be many stallholders and garden talks. Author Trevor Nottle will be giving the opening address on the Friday morning. Two days of activities, workshops, floral displays and more will take place over the two days. Artists will have their garden inspired artworks for sale. For a full program of events, see here as you may need to book for some.

Burra is located 162 kms north of Adelaide and takes 2 hours to get there. With so much on over the three days why not make a weekend of it and stay a night or two. Burra has plenty of accommodation options such as a caravan park, a motel, B and B's in heritage cottages and the self-catering Paxton Square cottages.

BURRA AND DISTRICTS OPEN GARDENS
This year, there will be 15 gardens open over 2 days; the Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November. The entry of $10 gives you a booklet describing what you will find at each garden and covers you for all gardens in Burra, Farrel Flat, Mt Bryan and Hallet. Hallet will only be open on the Sunday. You can pick up your ticket and map at the visitor centre in the middle of town.
