I love discovering new places to eat especially if they are a little off the main roads like this little cute cafe in Mosman. I heard about this cafe from a friend who wanted to take us there, but because it was packed we ended up somewhere else on the same road less crowded. What intrigued me was having a cafe and retail store in the same place, and I knew that I had to pay a visit.

So, on a weekday when it is probably less crowded, I visited Burnt Orange and had scones in mind. I love scones. I would drive anywhere that had scones in their menu and check it out. So besides their extensive menu for breakfast/lunch, I already had scones in sight!

As you enter into the cafe, you will see all sorts of cute teapots and cups, as well as a food hall that sold preserves, olive oil, nuts and many other yummy goodies that are perfect for a gift or for yourself to take home.

This is the inside section of the cafe, but there is also the outside where it overlooks the waters.

Near the counter, there lies the kiosk of scones and other delectable sweets. These scones are homemade scones and you can choose between plain, date, whole-wheat, or mixed berry and they come with their own marmalades & jams ($4.50).

I chose the mixed berry scone as I wanted to steer away from the usual plain, but I felt like I didn't need to have much jam and cream as the berry taste was rather strong. Nevertheless, it was still yummy and partnered well with the green tea. In fact, if you want to have a high tea gathering with some girlfriends, they do take reservations for that.

After filling my tummy and taking in the beautiful views, I went to look around their retail store where they sold other gifts for children, women and for your home.

This place is usually very busy in the weekends, so if you want to get a seat you may want to come earlier. What I like about this place, besides the expensive parking is enjoying my food with beautiful stunning views of Sydney Harbour round to The Heads and Manly. Also, I get to shop after all that food too! I'll definitely be back with my husband to have brunch while sipping on wine and the atmosphere.

If you know of any places to go with nice views and food please let me know!
