A stunning showcase of oil, watercolour & acrylic paintings

The Burnside Painting Group is presenting their annual SALA Exhibition at The Atrium, Burnside Civic Centre and all are welcome to attend the Opening Night and Annual Awards presentation on Thursday 2nd August from 6pm to 8pm. Entry is FREE!

Come along and discover the latest artworks by the talented members of the Burnside Painting Group. Established over 50 years ago, the Burnside Painting Group is open to both beginners and experienced artists and this year's exhibition offers a stunning showcase of oil, watercolour and acrylic paintings and mixed media, pastel and pencil artworks.

There will be a diverse range of themes and subject matters on display and all artworks are available for sale at an affordable price. This is a great opportunity to add to your own collection or purchase a special gift for a loved one.

After viewing the exhibition, you may be inspired to join the Burnside Painting Group - why not have a chat to some of the current members and find out more about their art classes, workshops, social events, art demonstrations and quarterly and annual awards. It's a great way to meet new like-minded people, build your skills, knowledge and confidence and also exhibit and sell your artworks to the wider public.

As part of the Opening Night festivities, there will be a presentation of the Annual Awards. This year's artwork selector was Daryl Austin from the Adelaide Central School of Art and the awards judge is artist Ross Morgan. Opening night speaker will be Mary Marston, a volunteer from the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Following the Opening Event, the exhibition will be open to the public until Friday 24nd August, 2018.

The Atrium, Burnside Civic Centre is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, Saturday 10.30am to 3.30pm and Sunday 2pm to 4.30pm. Entry is FREE.

The Opening Night event is suitable for children, delicious treats and wine will be provided and the venue has wheelchair access.
