The Longwood Institute in Bradbury invites you to their open day on Sunday 15th May 2022 from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
We all know that bushfires have become an important part of our landscape and history. Just last year, 2021, the Cherry Gardens fire burnt through Scott Creek Conservation Park, Mount Bold Reserve and the community of Bradbury was immensely affected. More than twenty private properties were burnt down.
On this open day, you will be able to hear the fire history, local experiences and recovery. There will also be audio visuals and activities.
The event is free and bookings are not required, so come along to support, listen to the stories and local experiences as well as plan for a safe future.
The Longwood Institute is located at 706 Longwood Road, Bradbury. For more information either email: longwoodinstitute@gmail.com or visit their
websites.
