Have you ever seen a Burlesque show and imagined yourself performing? Have you fantasised about being awash in feathers and sequins on the stage?

Even if you don't plan on performing, Burlesque dance classes are great for building body confidence, fitness and adding a dash of sparkle and glamour to your day.

Enter Miss Kitka's House of Burlesque taught by Cherry Lush .

Six years ago Cherry was an ordinary suburban woman who dressed in frumpy clothes, wore no makeup and felt there was something inside of her just longing to get out.

Reading an article in the paper one day she came across a newspaper article about Burlesque. In the article one of the woman described how since doing a burlesque course at Miss Kitka's House of Burlesque ,she loved her body for the first time. She decided that is what she wanted and signed up for the course with Miss Kitka's.

Six years later Cherry Lush is now teaching burlesque. She is one of Sydney's top performers and writes a blog about body confidence, acceptance and happiness and she wants to pass on all the amazing things that burlesque has done for her.

Miss Kitka's course has been running in Canberra and Sydney since 2003 and has been changing the world with Burlesque one person at a time. Other graduates of the course include Holly J'a Doll and Deb Delicious .

It is not a standard burlesque course, it is much much more. It celebrates diversity, body positivity and good old fashioned bump 'n' grind. If you want to perform or learn to love your body or just want to learn a sexy dance for your partner, this course is for you. Graduates will also have the chance to perform in a group at a Sydney Burlesque event such as Miss Kitka's 2013 performers.
