Much as its name suggests, Burgertec along Grange Road in Grange is a good place to grab delicious burgers. The place was quite popular, with many of the customers choosing to order their dishes for takeaway.

The Southern-fried chicken in their Hot and Thai-sty was fried to golden brown with the crisp coating setting off the succulent flesh well. The Sriracha sauce added a delightful spicy kick to the burger. The spiciness was balanced out by the creamy coleslaw and Kewpie mayonnaise. Those who want something a bit healthier have the choice of swapping out the Southern-fried chicken for grilled chicken.

We were delighted that the Angus beef patty in their All Star burger was cooked just right with the degree of char-grilled flavour we like. The smokiness was provided by the bacon and a hint of sweetness was provided by the addition of beetroot and tomato. Caramelised onion and herbed mayonnaise helped to tie everything together.

Vegetarians need not worry about missing out - Burgertec offers a decent selection of vegetarian burgers, with some of them featuring vegan cheese for vegans. The panko crumbed mushroom in their Farmer George Burger was very juicy and was contrasted well by the crumb coating. Caramelised onions and roasted capsicum ensured the burger did not taste too bland and freshness was provided by the avocado and baby spinach. For a bit of an extra cost, you can add chips or coleslaw and a drink to your burger.

A menu item good as an entree or snack, their Chicken Wings are available in various serving sizes. The size of the chicken wings made eating them a satisfying experience and they were of the same quality as the chicken in their Hot and Thai-sty burger. The spicy barbeque sauce we chose as the dipping sauce had a delicious smoky flavour and a spicy kick.

Though the restaurant primarily caters for takeaway, there are still a few tables for those that desire to enjoy their meal there.
