Part of Welland Plaza, Burgers N Shakes fittingly enough offers a good range of burgers and milkshakes. The burger joint prides itself on preparing its burger patties on site and with using a separate grill for preparing the ingredients for their vegan burgers to prevent contamination from the meat ingredients.

The beef patty in their Bonza Burger was very juicy with a satisfying charred flavour. Aside from the standard tomatoes and lettuce, the burger also included slices of cucumber – a vegetable that is not typically seen in Western-style burgers. A slice of charred pineapple provided a hint of sweetness.

To our delight, their Beefed Up Burger had an ample quantity of pulled beef. Some of the burger joints we have visited were a bit light on the meat when making similar burgers. The pulled beef was very juicy and the Green Chilli & Mint sauce added a bit of heat. However, we thought the burger could have used something refreshing such as coleslaw or greens to make it more "complete".

The chicken patty in their Chicken N Egg Burger is notable for being made from pulled chicken fried with egg to give it a lovely soft texture. The same Green Chilli & Mint sauce in their Beefed Up Burger featured in this burger, albeit with less used to give it a milder flavour.

A good choice for those not in the mood for burgers, the pulled chicken in their Club Sandwich was succulent and the spiced fried egg gave the sandwich a delectable savoury flavour. There were slices of cucumber to add a bit of crunch and the bread was also lightly toasted so it wouldn't be too soft.

Available separately or ordered alongside their burgers for a bit of extra cost, their chips were fried to golden brown and seasoned with the right amount of salt to bring out their flavour. Also available were sweet potato chips that were cut in a chunky style.

Aside from burgers, the restaurant also offers Lamb Cutlets and Scotch Fillet but be aware that there is around a 20-minute wait for your meal to be served. We enjoyed a deal from Scoopon that allows a diner to enjoy a burger, chips and drink combo for only $8.
