"This is the best burger I've ever tasted!" - My dad
While Adelaide was once known for its pie carts they have sadly died out over the years, but now Adelaide can welcome a new name in portable catering.
Burger Theory have taken their American-style food truck and brought it to the streets of Adelaide. They serve up burgers, burritos, fries, and cookies, but you'll have to find them first.

Burger Theory Food Truck
Their menu may be small, but you'll still have trouble choosing between their options. Try Burger No. 1, a Coorong Angus Beef burger cooked medium and topped with iceberg lettuce, tomato, cheese and 'truck sauce'. For something a bit fancier Burger No. 2 adds pancetta, onion confit and a blue cheese sauce to the Angus Beef patty. The burgers are cooked so that you get optimum flavour, which is only enhanced by the added toppings. Don't be fooled by fast food's 'Angus Beef burgers' because Burger Theory puts them to shame. Other items on the menu include their 'mole' black bean burritos, fries, and choc chip cookies.

If you're trying to catch Burger Theory in action you're probably best following them on
Facebook or
Twitter. They don't have a permanent location, so keep an ear out to find out what events or street corners they'll be hanging at next. A popular spot is next to Coffee Branch on Leigh Street, but they are also regulars at the Adelaide Roller Derby. Be prepared to join a queue as they can get quite popular.
Burger Theory also cater at events. Not only does this mean you might be lucky enough to catch them at an event you're going to, but you can book them for your own events. Whether you're planning a business function or a birthday party Burger Theory can feed your guests in true food truck style. As food trucks become a popular sight at weddings you could also consider having Burger Theory serve your guests during cocktail hour. Contact

So next time they're in your area give Burger Theory a go, if my dad is anything to go by then they're worth it.
