Burger It looks like a typical takeaway outlet but it is known for serving burgers that won the 2014 Regional Award at Menulog. Part of the appeal of the burgers is their use of 100% SA meats and homemade ingredients which is reflected in the taste of their burgers.
The 'Chicken Tikka Burger' is one of the restaurant's special burgers featuring a marinated chicken leg fillet seasoned with Tandoori spices accompanied by lettuce, red onion, tomato, tomato relish and green chutney mayonnaise. The chicken was cooked perfectly with the spices heightening its flavour and the various vegetables adding a delightful refreshing taste. You can choose from three levels of spiciness and while the medium level was hot enough for me you can opt for hot if you are feeling brave or choose to have mild if you are not used to spicy foods.

A good choice for vegetarians, the sweet potato and broccoli patty in their 'Sweet Potato & Grilled Haloumi Burger' had a wonderful earthy flavour with the texture being softer compared to the beef patty used in their beef burgers. The crisp lettuce was a good contrast to the soft patty with the tomato relish and herb mayo completing the dish.

The restaurant's high quality of its burgers is also evident in their "regular" burgers. The beef patty in their 'It's Classic Burger' was juicy with a delectable char-grilled flavour and the sweet taste of the beetroot complemented it well. Some of the other beef burgers include 'Burn It with Beef' which includes jalapeno salsa and 'Mexican It' with Mexican inspired toppings.

No burger meal is complete without fries so we ordered a large serving of them. They were fried to golden brown with just the right amount of seasoning. In addition to the usual soft drinks such as Coke, Burger IT also offered a selection of soft drinks from the Calypso brand. The Pink Guava Limeade flavour that we chose was delicious and not too sweet.

While the prime focus of the place is a takeaway outlet Burger It still has a decent amount of seating space should you decide to dine in. Parking is available on the streets around the restaurant.
