Burgers, tater tots and milkshakes
Located along Henley Beach Road, Burger Foundry has been cutting chips, grilling buns and building burgers for a couple of years now. It started as a humble takeaway store which later relocated to Magill Road in St Morris. A second location then opened on the other side of town at Torrensville.
I visited Burger Foundry Torrensville for the first time this week after coming across it while scrolling through my Entertainment Membership app. Its menu consists of beef, chicken and veggie burgers as well as a variety of sides. And, apart from the usual drinks, you can also indulge in specialty milkshakes such as the Tim Tam milkshake.
The Foundry Classic beef burger was served with tomato, cheese, aioli and lettuce. Although the bun was not to my liking, its succulent meat patty had been hand-pressed, seasoned and grilled just beautifully. The aioli was creamy and the warm cheese melted right onto the patty.
On the other hand, the mozzarella & bacon tater tots were simply amazing. They were perfectly golden, crispy and crunchy on the outside, but still soft and cheesy on the inside. I could have them as a main, instead of a side, anytime!
