Stunning B&B, Wine & Olives - Bunnyconnellen
During our recent weekend getaway in Crows Nest as we were driving through town we saw a sign that said "Olive Grove and Vineyard". With 2 of my favourite things in the one place we had to check it out.

We followed the signs to Bunnyconnellen and turned down the drive lined with gorgeous trees and I was immediately mesmerized by the beauty of the property. The property had rolling green manicured hills as far as my eyes could see, and gorgeous flower beds surrounded the country cottage and sheds.

As we entered the "Machinery Shed" cellar door we were once again completely blown away by old school country charm. The room was set up for a function and looked absolutely stunning with its long timber tables, mismatched chairs and tea sets.

We were soon greeted by the very friendly owner Ann who told us all about how she and her husband Ninian had recently bought the 250 acre property. As we chatted Ann poured us some delicious local wines and served us a variety of olives, Turkish bread and dipping oils.

We wandered around the property feeling completely relaxed at the peaceful country side property and admiring the views across the valley right to the top of the Great Dividing Rage.

When Ann told us the property also had a small studio cottage which she rented out to couples we knew we were coming back to this place. We just had to come up with an occasion. As we continued chatting with Ann like old friends, we soon worked out the perfect occasion to come back to Bunnyconnellen.

My 40th birthday was only a few weeks away and we had yet decided on the perfect way to celebrate. On the spot we booked the Machinery Shed for a dinner with friends and family and the studio cottage for an overnight stay.

Bunnyconnellen can accommodate functions in a large marquee for a gathering on the vineyard lawn or for smaller groups in the Machinery Shed.

The studio is $170 per couple per night and includes a hearty self catering breakfast.

But you don't have to book a function or stay the night to enjoy the stunning property - Bunnyconnellen is open by appointment so you can stop by an enjoy the gorgeous local olives, tapenades, wines, olive oils and vinegars which are also available online.
