Located in Springwood #header "> is open from breakfast through to dinner 6 days a week. The decor is simple but pretty with flowers on the tables.

The dinner menu is not large but there are additional daily specials in each course. These specials are described by the wait staff and written on a wall inside and ensure that the best local produce is utilised. The fig and goat cheese entree sounded delicious and it tasted even better than the description.

The pan fried prawns with soba noodles was tasty and delicately flavoured with a hint of chilli. The texture of the noodles provided a nice contrast to the prawns. We could not go past the two 'special' mains and they were both generous dishes full of interesting flavours and textures.

There is a good selection of wines by the glass as well as a variety of cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic beverages. It is possible to chill out with a couple of drinks and a few small plates while listening to live music Thursday through to Sunday night.

The saffron poached pear was the perfect finish to our meal as it was light and fragrant as well as very pretty. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful and it has a lovely covered outdoor area with an outdoor fire, plenty of heaters and blankets are provided to keep alfresco diners warm. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the staff are young and happy. The Bunker holds a monthly degustation meal and a roast special on Sundays.
