Visit Spectacular Private Garden Designed by Edna Walling
What better excuse to visit the mighty Riverina Region of NSW then the chance to see an AMAZING garden that is rarely open to the public. Bundarbo Station is a homestead on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River (near) Jugiong, about 120km from Canberra. The Station has historical significance dating back to 1823.
Bundarbo Station garden's will be open for just one day on Sunday 15 November. The Station, which is approximately 50 acres of garden, will be open from 8.00am to 5.00pm.
There are extensive parklands, rose gardens, an olive grove, rose beds, orchards and a herb garden to marvel at.
Entry to the garden is $10.00 for adults with children free. All proceeds will go towards Jugiong Public School.
Along with some serious garden viewing, you will be able to partake in some quintessentially awesome country food. There will be devonshire teas, a coffee van and hamper lunches available. Or bring your own and enjoy this wonderful garden with a picnic beside the Murrumbidgee River.
Buy a ticket in the raffle, win a lucky door prize or go on a garden tour. There will also be garden stalls. But most of all have fantastic time viewing this historical, beautiful garden.
While you are here take the time to explore Jugiong. Jugiong is a small community (around 300 people) built on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Or head to Gundagai which is around 40kms away.
I think this is a wonderful opportunity to explore historical, regional NSW and get some tree change ideas happening!
