Bunbury is just a few hours from Perth but still has some of that country feel about it. I have spent many weekends in this area as it is close to Busselton and also Margaret River. Each year, they have a show - what a great opportunity to get away from it all and spend a weekend at a hotel or motel! I haven't attended this show for a few years now, however, I am sure that it has only got better over time!

It will feature all-day FREE entertainment for the whole family. You could perhaps bring your bean bags, blankets and relax while you listen to the free entertainment by local artists. There will be more than 150 stalls, including over 40 food stalls/trucks. You could easily spend a full day here or even the whole weekend if you live in Perth.

There will be a plethora of animals including rabbits, horses and horse event, as well as cars, big trucks, circus challenge, buskers, roving entertainers and not to forget sideshow alley. There will be heaps to see and do for the whole day at the Bunbury Show.

It will be held on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April 2019, from 10.00 am. Entry is FREE and it will be at Hay Park. Parade Road.

The Bunbury Show is a community event organised each year by the volunteer committee at the Bunbury Agricultural Society Inc.

The following are some of the entertainment and events during the two-day event:

This year, there will be a huge new trade stall area, sponsored by JCB Construction Equipment Australia and Bunbury Machinery. Here there will be toys for the big boys and girls!

There will be the incredible Wearable Art Competition on the catwalk and this is one not to be missed! New to the Bunbury Show in 2019, fashion guru Nathan Gardiner will curate the competition in a marquee on Saturday 13th April from 11.00 am

There will be cash prizes in each category for the best creation and model.

You will be able to watch demonstrations in the exhibition area.

This year, the Eco Show will return with more exhibits to show us how to live a cleaner, greener and more environmentally-friendly life in the city.

Also on is the Bunbury Art Show and this will be bigger than ever before. It will feature art clubs from around the Bunbury Geographe region.

And seniors and juniors are not forgotten with a special event for both seniors and juniors!

The Pet Show is another one that will return this year following the huge success of the of previous Bunbury Show Pet Parades. There will be some great prizes to be won and this year, the Bunbury Pet Parade will be coordinated by the members of the Peel Region Rabbit Club. Bring your favourite pets along and join in the fun! Details of the categories and the entry form will be released closer to the date on their Facebook page. Entry to this event will also be free.

Mad about motoring will be held on Sunday 14th April, from 9.30am to 4.00 pm. It will be hosted by the South West Veteran Car Club and promises to be a fascinating event for everyone. There will be some classic cars, including:

Vintage and veteran cars

Old machinery displays

Custom and streetcars, bikes, utes, vans and trucks

Wescarpade charity run
