I'm not one to visit the Gold Coast regularly, though on those rare occasions I do travel south on the motorway, I always come across a place to make the journey worthwhile.

, at 21 River Drive, Surfers Paradise, overlooks Budds Beach and has a distinctively coastal vibe with its bright and quirky decor.

Open 7 days a week from 7am for breakfast, you can select outdoor seating or be seated indoors.

Lunch at Bumbles is popular modern Australian cuisine which includes delights such as Coconut and Lime Poached Chicken and Miso Glazed Salmon Fillet. Dinner is available at Bumbles on Thursday nights only and a friend assures me that the steak is "to die for".

The other point of difference is that Bumbles has several different areas if you are looking to celebrate a function - ie. Engagement, 21st or Baby Shower - as well as the perfect meeting room. How good does this room look for your next Book Club meeting?

Coffee and cake is a popular pastime, which is not surprising as there is an array of sweet treats available.

Bumbles also has beehives on their roof. Yes, you read that right -beehives in Surfers Paradise! So make sure you have some extra coin on you for fresh honey straight from the bee's knees.

Street parking only.

Opening hours are 7am till 4pm every day, except Thursdays till 10 pm.
