When a sign advertising an event for Bikes and Bulls went up at the local Showgrounds earlier this week, I admit to being intrigued;

Bikes and Bulls ? A football match perhaps ?

Okay, so I am also a sticky beak, which means I have saved you all some research.

Bikes and Bulls Unleashed is a live action sports show which has only recently commenced touring Queensland. The show combines the skills of Australia's top Cowboys hanging onto recalcitrant bulls while overhead the rodeo arena FMX teamsters perform stunts and tricky manoeuvres.



As the mother of daughters only, I was totally clueless as to meaning of FMX and so further research was required.

FMX, or Freestyle Motorcross, is stunt motorbike riding, and only for those who are highly experienced. This is a sport which is becoming very popular amongst extreme sport enthusiasts - and not for the faint hearted.

Bikes and Bulls Unleashed will be at Cleveland Showgrounds, corner of Smith and Long Streets, Cleveland on Saturday 20th July, 2015.



The event will feature many special effects including a spectacular fireworks display, mechanical bull, and jumping castle for the kiddies, and as such is considered a family friendly affair.

Hot food will be available for purchase and there will be a Licenced area.

Gates open at 3 pm with the Show commencing at 5 pm with an anticipated closing time of around 8:30 pm.

It is recommended that you take picnic chairs and blankets, and rug up in beanies and scarves to combat the cold evenings.

Pre Sale Tickets are available online, and are slightly cheaper than Ticket Prices at the gate.

There are also different Entry Fees for different ages, as well as Family Entry fees, and I recommend that this is where you take over the research.

I'm pleased I made the effort to look further into this event. Although neither a fan of extreme sports nor an adrenaline junkie, Bikes and Bulls Unleashed sounds like something different, something to be experienced at least once in a lifetime.
