Bulimba State School is holding their Fete 'Belle Property's A Fair on Oxford' on Saturday 13th of September, 10am-6pm. Everyone is welcome for a great day of family fun. All money raised will go towards a new playground, shading and seating on the school's bottom oval.

'Belle Property's A Fair on Oxford' is all international this year, celebrating the 48 nationalities represented at the school. The day kicks off with a 'Welcome to country' from Elder Uncle Joe Kirk. Stalls with games and activities are open from 10am for all to enjoy. This includes all-time favorites like pre-loved books, toys, clothes and a craft stall. Mark your children before you leave home as you might not recognise them after they've visited the face paint, crazy hair and tattoo stalls.

There are many new activities for children. At the 'Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden stall' children can decorate a pot and plant veggie seedlings to create their own edible garden. They also have grassheads for sale in many different styles, like the Elsa 'Let it grow' grasshead in Frozen theme. Other activities for children include sand art, 'Splat the rat', spin art and old fashioned games like quoits and wet sponge throwing.

For many children rides are the highlight of a Fete and this year there are more rides than ever before. You can save time and money by buying armbands for the rides online . These will give children unlimited entry all day long. There is a new (cheaper) armband available for the little ones with access to the more gentle rides. This also avoids toddlers and twelve year olds bumping into each other on a jumping castle.

Adults, there are games for you too: a photo booth with different props, Lob-a-choc and a game named 'Fling the ring'. This is an adult version of quoits. If you throw your ring around a bottle of champagne or wine, you get to take it home.

The international bar is selling French champagne, wines and beers from all around the world as well as our local microbrewery Brew Brothers. And no need to go hungry on Fete day either. International food stalls are serving Italian pizza (baked on the spot), Nachos, Burgers, Sushi and more. To satisfy your sweet tooth there's a French cake stall, a home made lollystall, chocolate spoons, fairy floss and snow cones.

Those wanting a little break from all the action can sit back and enjoy the all day entertainment. Chris Sheehy, singer and former contestant of 'The Voice' is performing. Amongst other acts there'll be (international) dance performances and a fashion show. The day ends with a disco on the middle oval.

Raffle tickets are on sale on the day. First prize: two travel vouchers worth $5500. Second prize is a home cleaner for a year and third prize is four tickets to see the musical 'The Lion King'. Also tickets available for the 'Last One Standing' draw where you could win $1250. With only fifty tickets in the draw, odds are pretty good.

Visit www.bulimbaschoolevents.com for all details and to purchase rides armbands and Last One Standing tickets.
Rides open at 11am and conclude at 4pm.
