Summer is upon us, hot weather, sunny days and the yearly dilemma how to stay cool and have a fun day enjoying the beautiful Brisbane weather. Have you tried Bulcock beach Caloundra? Bulcock beach is a beautiful sandy, beach situated a 1 minute drive from the centre of Caloundra, and it's patrolled September to May.

Bulcock beach is south of Kings beach and is not as crowded as the better known Kings, you can however follow the newly completed boardwalk and head to Kings beach if you wish. I love Bulcock beach, the water is clear, parking is easy and you can browse the shops lining the street or have lunch in one of the many restaurants, fish and chip shops or bakeries nearby. Bulcock is family friendly and has BBQ and picnic facilities, children's playgrounds. For those who enjoy water sports Bulcock beach has good conditions and is suitable for kite surfing, windsurfing, boating and the avid fishermen out there.

Why not make a day out of it with the family, your partner or why not a girls day out, go early swim at the beach, walk along the boardwalk, and grab some fish and chips for lunch. Sounds like a great day to me. If you're in the mood, why not take your partner and stay for a romantic weekend in one of the many ocean view hotels and apartments in the area.

If you would like more information on Bulcock beach visit the Caloundra Tourism website, and for accomodation in the area click here for some more inspiration.
