Build a Fort for the Kids and You

Life, Love & Liberty are what you make of them so continue, continue, continue . . . .
Published June 3rd 2012

My nephew found himself house bound this weekend in hot, hot Arizona and so his dad said, "A perfect morning for a fort."

I agree.

Upon rising this morning, I stacked the chairs on the dinning room table and draped a big blankie over the top. Couch cushions are traditional walls with smaller cushions for a door way and a home made crocheted rug for a carpet make a cosy home for any child at heart. But, don't forget to take another pillow inside to lie on.

All in all, it took me less than three minutes to make and brought back a lifetime of childhood memories.

I strongly urge everyone to make the effort to build a fort this weekend wherever you are. Just be sure you make enough room for the whole family and don't take it down until you have spent time alone in there without the kids.

I built one! It has been too many years since I fed my inner child, yet it was so cool and cosy to do during these cold winter days....giggled quite a lot and took some happy snaps to remind me. thanks L:)
