Though insects are among the most common visitors to our gardens, many of them are not exactly ones that receive a warm reception from many people. , an event held on 11 July 2019 and 18 July 2019 at the Bicentennial Conservatory in the Adelaide Botanic Garden, gives children between the ages of 5 and 13 an opportunity to learn more about this group of animals.
Children will find out why insects are critical for our survival. Those that are feeling brave can also try various snacks that are made from insects. Children will also get the chance to see various bugs on display in the Bicentennial Conservatory, including a few non-insects – spiders, scorpions and leeches.
