In Silom, right next to the Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain station is this little cafe that perhaps promises more than it delivers.

We went for breakfast and were drawn by the menu offering waffles, omelettes, coffees and cakes.



We decided to share a set breakfast and some Salmon Quesadillas and I got an Iced Coffee. The coffee was very average and I have had better on the street around the corner in Silom - although in saying that, you have to be careful because I've also had Nescafe topped up with condensed milk which was awful. It gave me a kick at 6 o'clock in the morning but I think that was more a sugar rush than caffeine. Anyway, I digress...

Our breakfast came and looked great, just like in the pictures on the menu. I mean, I wasn't expecting much from the sausage that came with my set and it was as processed as to be expected but the omelette was just bland and gloopy and the potatoes cold and flavourless. We had to remind them about the waffles that came with it and they were good, if a bit on the small side.

I quite liked the quesadillas although they were slightly rubbery and the salmon wasn't as full of flavour and fresh as it could have been. The mango salsa that came with it was rather delicious though I thought it wasn't especially well matched with the dish.



I like their cakes, and the shakes are pretty good but it does seem a bit style over substance. We enjoyed sitting in the padded booth with the cool jazz as an antidote to the bustling traffic (human and motorised) going on outside but unfortunately the food was a bit of a let down.
