Dine Like Royalty
Centuries ago, kings and queens feasted buffet-style daily. Today, buffets can be enjoyed by everyone. It's got nothing to do with gluttony as some other writers suggest. In fact a breakfast buffet in one of the top hotels is quite a sophisticated and elegant way to eat a meal, which is otherwise normally rushed getting the kids to school or forgotten altogether.
There are many reasons why people would choose to eat from a buffet:
1) Saves time - you don't have to wait ages for your food to be cooked. (Although at the more popular buffets you may have to wait to be seated. Also some Asian buffets let you cook your own food at the table.)
2) Choice - if you are vegetarian you only choose the vegetable dishes. If you are on a high protein low carb diet, you only choose the meat dishes etc. You can also try foods you normally would not eat. Families with fussy kids will have no problem finding something to suit everyone's tastes.
3) Convenience - buffets cater for large groups of people easily. This is perfect for a family celebration.
4) Saves money - It usually works out cheaper than having to buy a separate entree, main, and dessert from a restaurant.
If you want to try one of the more upmarket buffets, then the Stamford is my favourite. If you are on a tight budget, then Sizzler is a great everyday buffet for the whole family (check out their website for discounts). Below is a list of buffets in the Brisbane area that I've put together for you. Enjoy!
