Over-zealous Grandmother - who me? - but definitely worth the 'effort'!

I could be accused of many things, but ok, I guess this time I was being overly-optimistic, expecting my 2 year old grandson to do a 600 metre boardwalk (one way) and then the return journey too - but, I'll argue, I needed to get rid of his excess energy before nap time.

Needless to say, what a wonderful outing! We experienced the very best of what Mother Nature has to offer - magnificent giant trees, water gently cascading over the rocks, the cicadas trying to out-do each other with their songs - an absolute delight all while escaping the heat and doing a 'bit' of exercise and never having to leave the well-maintained boardwalk.

For those more adventurous - or without the added appendage of a 2 year old on your hip - the walk continues, and a further 300 metres on you'll reach Serenity Falls, and as the name suggests, one cannot imagine finding a more peacefully serene little piece of heaven anywhere else on earth.

We accessed the Boardwalk from Lindsay Road in Buderim where there was ample parking, even though we met many other Nature lovers on our little sojourn into the .

All in all, a delightful morning spent and yes, the little man is fast asleep!
