Do you know that meditation is not about having no thoughts and that the popular mindfulness practice originated from Buddha's teachings?

Join the Buddhist Discussion Centre Australia's weekend Meditation and Mindfulness sessions to learn more.

Regular meditation and mindfulness allow us to be in the present, worry less about the past or future, and develop concentration and clarity. These habits also help us develop the benefits of calmness, joy, emotional positivity and equanimity and more.

These one-hour meditation sessions will run on Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 am at 33 Brooking Street, Upwey in the foothills of the beautiful Mount Dandenong Ranges.

Come and join as many sessions as you like. The sessions will be led by the Centre's Vice President, Simon Kearney, a teacher and a long-time meditation and mindfulness practitioner.

Sessions will include meditation practices (e.g. sitting, walking, standing) and mindfulness activities which will help you in day-to-day living. There will also be Q&A opportunities.

The sessions are suitable for anyone who wants to learn or improve their meditation and mindfulness practices.
