is situated in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. It is located approximately 2 ½ hours from Sydney CBD and offers a spectacular day trip with stunning views and nature at its very best.

Nature lovers will certainly be satisfied with the pristine rainforest walks, gorgeous waterfalls, breathtaking lookouts and birdwatching opportunities. You can easily spend the whole day getting lost, discovering new things and being in awe of the enchanting beauty of Budderoo National Park.



The Minnamurra Rainforest Centre offers elevated walkways, paved tracks, lush beauty of the rainforest and enchanting moments of pure nature. Spot the shy lyrebird as you hear their "lying" calls throughout the rainforest, take a break and enjoy a picnic at the picnic areas or grab a bite to eat at the Lyrebird Café.

The Rainforest Loop Walk offers a wonderful experience of the rainforest with interpretive signs along the way, tranquil beauty of the subtropical, dry, riparian and temperate rainforest, plenty of opportunities to birdwatch and The Falls Walk leads to the awe-inspiring waterfall.

There is a park fee of $12 per vehicle / per day.

The Minnamurra Rainforest Centre opens: 9am-5pm.



The Falls Walk:
Grade: grade 4 , 4.2km return with occasional steps and a very steep track.
Details: Offers spectacular rainforest, waterfall and canyon views from several viewing platforms.

The Rainforest Loop Walk**
Grade: grade 3 with 1.6km loop with short steep hills and occasional steps.
Details: This is perfect for the kids with beautiful rainforest views. Takes around 1 hour to complete.



The Izzards Lookout Track is an easy walk and offers scenic views of Kangaroo Valley and a breath of fresh air. The Lookout offers scenes of the lush forests of Kangaroo Valley and opportunities for bird watching. Don't forget to take a stroll along the escarpment as you never know what you will discover!

Grade: grade 3, 1.1km return with flat, occasional steps and a formed track with some obstacles.



Missingham Lookout Walking Track leads off to the western edge of the escapement where Kangaroo Valley and Carrington Falls Gorge are seen with a full display of breathtaking glory.

Grade: grade 3 with a 3.8km return of short steep hills, formed track and some obstacles with no steps.

Discover the beauties of Nellies Glen Picnic Area with scenic waterfall views, birdwatching and a range of short walks to explore. This is the perfect picnic spot to enjoy a break as you relax with the soothing sounds of the nearby waterfalls and fresh forest smells.



Feel on top of the world at Warris Chair Lookout as you gaze across the last remaining pocket of rainforest that is protected by Budderoo National Park. The easy walk takes you through woodlands of swamp banksia. It is also a perfect walk to spot birds!

Grade: grade 3 with a 1km return of mostly flat paths, occasional steps and a formed track with some obstacles.

If you want to take your bike out for some fun then you will love the scenic views of the wildflowers, wildlife spotting, adventure and nature combined as you pass through forests of bloodwood at the challenging cycle track of Budderoo Track... it is definitely one to explore.

Grade: 24km return easy grade. You can walk this track too.



Carrington Falls is a spectacular spot to explore the wonders of the mighty falls, lush bushland, thousand year old rock formations and swimming holes. Be sure to check this out. There is a wheelchair access path to the lookout. Steep steps lead to the top of the waterfalls where swimming holes await you.

Jamberoo Lookout will steal your breath away with views of endless valleys that meet the ocean. The different hues of greens amongst the tranquil blue of the sea certainly does set a 'postcard' view.
