One place to add to your bucket-list of ocean-side dining is, wait for it, The Bucket List at Bondi Beach. As part of the renowned Bondi Pavillion, this bright and buzzy restaurant and bar is pleasant all year round for enjoying a bite to eat or some drinks as you admire the alluring Pacific Ocean.

The outdoor part of the venue draws on a combination of Australian and Mediterranean influences. Sitting out here will allow you to catch some rays and some refreshing breezes that blow in with the waves that meet Sydney's coast. I love how the decor perfectly complements the location with eroded wooden tables and splashes of ocean blues across the seating (including some classic milk crates!). There is a good mix of chilled out beach vibes and a chic, family-friendly buzz also present in the air at Bucket List. I felt a lot like I was dining in a holiday resort.

The inside contains some equally crafty features – again, you will find some fresh colours across the seating and walls that make the place fuse well with the panoramic views of the world-famous beach that lay beyond the large windows. The walls contain some cute quotes such as "The weather is here, wish you were beautiful" There is also a giant tortoise inside, which I have to add is pretty funky.

So the menu conforms to the title of the venue and includes options of ordering, literally, buckets of food. In addition to the totally delicious bucket of buttermilk chicken ribs with chilli jam, you can order a bucket of hot chips, fish, prawns, etc. There is a good variety of culinary cultures on offer across the specials, share, salad, large, and sweets lists of food. I must say the Vego mezze board with leaves, bread and selection of three vegetarian dips was an eye-catching bite to eat. The food is served fast by friendly staff and is very fresh.

The place is also great to add your bucket-list of dining if you are looking for a focus on local produce, sustainable seafood, and enviro-friendly meat. So write this onto your list, place a check box next to it, and highly consider checking out this mini resort upon future visits to the world class Bondi Beach.
