Bubidi Boo is a name inspired by Justine's daughter Grace. It was her pet name when she was a babe in arms and like all children who grow up, she's just not that into it anymore. However the affectionate name remains as Justine's business name. The word 'Bubidi Boo' itself bursts forth quite comfortably from your lips and that's how you'll feel visiting this lovely ladies' stall at the markets. Comfortable, like visiting an old friend. She's very helpful and you'll undoubtedly be impressed by her workmanship and the range she has in children's accessories.
Justine's path was set growing up in a crafty family. When she was a young girl she used to follow her grandpa out to the garage and make shoes out of ply while he worked. She'd shape the feet with the ply and make fabric shoes. In fact, one of her electives at school was woodwork.
Her grandmother was always crafting as well and finally Justine picked up the needles when her daughter was born. When Grace started school, Justine moved on to making what seems to be her signature ribbon flowers that adorn her hair clips and headbands. These just came out of her head with no patterns whatsoever.
Bubidi Boo has now been around since 2008 and I finally got around to buying some hair accessories for my daughter from her on Saturday at the Out-the-back Market in Tecoma. The first thing you'll notice is the workmanship. The ribbon flower hair clips and hair band I bought were exquisite and well made and I liked the grip of the teeth on the particular type of band I chose. She even has unbreakable bands that you can twist and bend with no consequence to its functionality.
You'll find crochet caps with crochet flowers that are interchangeable as you can remove them and hook another colour onto the button that holds them in place. This option comes in handy for different coloured outfits one might wear. In the crochet range you'll also find baby booties, hair bands and more. There are little hand made leather shoes made by one of Justine's friends and denim bags that Justine fashions herself. Oh yes, there's plenty there for the little Miss to be quite fashionable.
Check out her Facebook page for the variety of goods she sells. of which the majority are all handmade. What I've mentioned here is but a small portion of this ladies' repertoire.
Apart from market stalls Justine also does party plan bookings and is happy to be involved in fundraising events. She can also make things to order. What a great idea for little girls' birthday parties. For enquiries or party bookings call her on 0414 941 173 or email her at email@example.com
