Bring the family along to see world class soap bubble performers Dr Bubble and Milkshake create a visually striking story for the stage. Delight children and grown-ups alike with the wonder and imagination of their bubble artistry. Dr Bubble and Milkshake create exquisite technically skilled art of bubbles using light, smoke, giant tubes and more. Bubbles of all different shapes and sizes, even square bubbles, are visible on stage from the seating in the Melba Spiegeltent venue.

Puppet-turned-human Milkshake is cartoon-like and colourful in clothing and character. Milkshake charms the audience to keep them involved in the fun in a largely non-verbal show. She even laughs and distracts the audience through a couple sound hiccups on the day of the review. The highlight of the show is the physical theatre and humour between the performers, such as Dr Bubble chasing the puppet around the stage and Milkshake playing with Dr Bubble while he sleepwalks.



The excitement for bubbles does wane for small kids slightly in the latter half as the humour and story of the show is less prominent, but the audience is quickly enthralled again during the clever shadow work before the storyline's climax. The friendship moral pulls the show together as Dr Bubble learns the importance of treating your friends well.

The big bubble finale has every kid desperate to be upon their feet, but they follow safety rules to stay seated and cheer as they reach out for the bubbles in amazement. This bubbly friendship adventure is ideal for children aged 4 to 8 years old.

Mesmerise the family with bubble creations out of this world. Soap and water never seemed so fun!
