B.Social Restaurant

Established in 2014, B.Social Restaurant at Oakden specialises in serving up Mediterranean cuisine and wood oven pizzas. If you visit the restaurant on Friday or Saturday nights, you have the pleasure of listening to live music while eating your meal.

Befitting its name, The Social Pizza had a generous mix of salami and pork sausage that helped to give the pizza a delectable smoky taste. The earthy taste of the mushrooms and the slightly sweet capsicums complemented the meats well with of a salty hit coming from the scattering of olives.



The Garlic Pizza Bread is one of the yummiest ones we have eaten with a thin and crispy base. Most of the enjoyment comes from the generous amount of garlic butter on the pizza which gave it a garlicy flavour so delicious that it is hard to stop at just one slice.



One of the pasta dishes available, the chicken in the Alpine Pasta was very juicy, which was contrasted well by the inclusion of pine nuts in the dish. A bit of sweetness was provided by the sundried tomato and the rose sauce tied everything together. We chose penne pasta for both the pasta dishes we ordered but you also have the choice of spaghetti, fettuccini or gnocchi.



For a pizza that is not as filling as The Social, you could consider ordering the Gamberi Pizza. The prawns were fresh and cooked just right. A bit of spiciness was provided by the chorizo and a scattering of rocket leaves gave the pizza a fresh appearance.



While we thought the Hot Salsiccia pasta was not as enjoyable as the Alpine Pasta, it still had enough chilli to lift the flavour of dish without it being too hot for those not used to spicy foods. The Italian sausage gave the dish a meaty texture and some cherry tomatoes added flavour to the dish.



We visited the place with a deal from Scoopon , which cost us $37 for four persons. We got two Garlic Pizzas for sharing and each one of us got to pick a pasta dish or a 10-inch pizza, and a drink. The deal for two persons is $19.
