While Shoalhaven wineries may not be well known, there are quite a few of them and heaps of different tours to go on. The most recent one I have done was through B&S Tours. The tours generally take you to 3 wineries and the Treat Factory, with a stop in Berry for lunch.
The Treat Factory – Located in Berry, this place can easily be missed. The Treat Factory has over 200 varieties of handmade and crafted confectionary, jams, sauces, chutney and more. The Treat Factory is open every day from 10am and 4pm.
Silos Estate and Wileys Creek – This is my favourite local winery. Silos is the local brand which produces Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. They have a range of dessert wines as well as stocking wines in from Wileys Creek, which is their brand that isn't on the coast. They also have a few alpacas roaming around. The cellar is opened every day from 11am to 5pm.
Mountain Ridge – This winery had amazing views of the mountains and the ocean. They produce wine, beef, macadamia nuts, crafted beers and various forms of other liquors. This winery is located in Shoalhaven Heads and is opened every day from 11am to 5pm.
I believe the tour cost $50 and most of the servings of alcohol were a standard glass. Our B&S driver was fairly relaxed and we were able to take our time at the winerys, which meant by the end of the day we were running fairly late but we did not mind.
