This summer many fortunate Kiwi fans will be singing along to Bryan Adams' beloved hit 'Summer of 69' with the man himself! He has announced four North Island shows as part of his 'The Ultimate Tour' world tour.
Bryan Adams was last in New Zealand back in 2013 when he played two sold-out shows in Auckland and Wellington. The demand for this US rock-pop star has only grown through the roof since.
In welcoming 2018, Adams will perform at Auckland's Matakana Country Park on Jan 2; at New Plymouth's TSB Bowl of Brookland on Jan 4; at Mount Manganui's ASB Baypark Stadium on Jan 5; and will round out his tour at Black Barn Vineyard in Hawkes Bay on Jan 6.
It was reported that veteran Kiwi legend Dave Dobbyn, and the Jordan Luck Band will be Adams' supporting acts.
Grammy Award winner Bryan Adams has been reported to be one of the world's most successful recording artists of all time with 65 million records sold worldwide. Wow!
It was with his1983 album 'Cuts Like a Knife" that he was elevated to stardom in North America, and then followed that up with his 1984 album 'Reckless' which contained two of his best-known songs 'Run to You' and 'Summer of 69'.
So it will now be Summer of 2018 in New Zealand.
Pre-sale tickets went on sale from Oct 4 and general release the following day.
