Cheap, cheap cheap
Brush Park Bowling Club is situated in Eastwood, north west of the CBD. It is a small club that during the week is super quiet.

I'm writing this article for my mum because she loves this place. Like really loves this place. She loves it for two reasons - lovely and quiet and super, good value!

The restaurant in the Club is called Dragon 88 Restaurant and is predominatly a Chinese Restaurant. It is situated at the rear of the Club and whilst the decor is a little dated, it is very clean and well maintained. We went on a weekday and there were just a few other tables full - perfect for us as we had a medium sized group including kids of varying ages. There was plenty of space for prams and bags and the kids had room to move.

The two course lunch deal really is good value. For $8.50 you get both an entree and a main. Entree is generally a soup - normally chicken and corn or pumpkin.

For main course there is a pretty good selection of dishes to choose from - you can get the usual Chinese fare, or there are also some western options such as burgers and fish and chips.

The $8.50 Menu

You can of course also order off the al a carte menu. As we had a vegetarian in our group (and unfortunately there is no vegetarian option on the $8.50 menu) we ordered a vegetarian fried rice (still good value at $10.80 for a large plate) and vegetarian spring rolls ($5.80).

There are also kids meals (either $6.50 or $7.50) and highchairs to (attempt to) keep them in place.

You can check out the full menu here.

As the Restaurant is in a Club, drinks are at Club prices which is also great for the hip pocket.

Dessert is also available and still reasonably priced. We tried the ice-cream and the Dutch Apple Pie ($7.50).

The Best Bit - Dessert!

If you wish you can order and eat in the Club area, and there is a set of tables outside as well (also a smoking area). There are clean and tidy toilets and the tablecloths and serviettes are actually linen!

Find the Club and restaurant at 77 Rutledge Street, Eastwood NSW 2122. You can park right out the front or there is another car park, which you enter into by turning left just past the Club.

Up the road from me, don't mind a bit of old school chinese now and then, may check it out with my rowdy 5yr old and hubby one day during the week when I don't feel like cooking lunch.
