The Brunswick Music Festival 2012 kicks off with a great free annual event - the Sydney Road Street Party, dubbed the 'friendliest party in town'.

This major street festival will run on Sunday, March 4th, from 12 noon to 7pm on Sydney Road. Expect a great live music line up, roving entertainment and street theatre, attractions for kids, a diverse range of cuisines and market stalls. This is a major annual Melbourne event and is perfect for the whole family to enjoy.

Then from the 14th to 25th of March, the Brunswick Music Festival moves into various iconic Brunswick live music venues; Brunswick Town Hall, Mechanics Institute Performing Arts Centre, Phoenix Public House and The Lomond Hotel.

Live music event highlights include special concerts held by the likes of talented singer songwriter Krystle Warren, multi-instrumentalist Ben Sollee, acclaimed traditional Irish band Beoga, accomplished acoustic guitarist Pierre Bensusan and many more Australian and International folk, roots and world music acts. Check out the concert calender to view the respective venue and ticketing details. Most festival tickets are priced between $32 and $38.

In addition to the live music program, there will also be a range of intimate workshops with the participating performers. View the Brunswick Music Festival 2012 website for all the latest details on the 2012 workshop program and ticketing details.

You can purchase tickets to the respective concerts and workshops on the Brunswick Music Festival 2012 website or at the Festival Box Office, which is located at the Mechanics Institute Performing Arts Centre.
