Since I was a child, I've always been a fan of eclairs. Back then it was those long, chocolate eclairs filled with lashings of cream and custard. Nowadays, I like to eat a bit more fruit - so this is a perfect place to find a happy medium!
Smaller than traditional eclairs, the eclair is made from light, fluffy choux pastry and layers of custard, fresh cream and sliced strawberries. The composition invites you in with it's colourful array. Dusted in icing sugar, it's a sumptuous pastry for a little indulge.
My friend had the lemon meringue tart and she adored the custard, shortcrust pastry and beautifully whipped meringue. You may not be able to stop at one. My friend bought another treat for the road!
