New to the hub of Subiaco comes 'Brunch on Roberts', an eclectic event of pop up cafes, market stalls, and live entertainment.
On Sunday March 20th, between 9am and 3pm Market Place Park (the green park just west of the football stadium on Roberts Road) will come alive with craft market stalls, food vendors and the excitement of Suitcase Alley: a whimsical exhibition of local craft and homeware vendors whose goods must be displayed in a suitcase. The range of goods include handmade, gourmet, vintage, retro and craft.
Replacing the popular Subiaco Craft Collectibles and Community fair which used to operate from the grounds of UWA every October, Brunch on Roberts will have the vibrancy of pop-up food vendors and carts, all-day entertainment and the gems of creativity from some of Perth's best and most original artisans.
Designed to appeal to urbane shoppers who like to have a gourmet coffee in one hand and an artisan breakfast roll in the other, Brunch on Roberts will bring together the best of both worlds. You can sit in the specially designed dining areas and listen to the groovy sounds from jazz musicians and other performers.
A fabulous morning for bruncher and shoppers alike
There will also be a dedicated children's area with a playground, puppet show, circus performers and a secret garden with fairies and elves.
For those with furry children, there will be a Canine Club with a mobile grooming area, a dog show plus special edible treats for your dog.
If you like to keep your hands busy, join in the 'crafternoon' revolution with a range of crafting workshops on offer.
Entry is $5 with all proceeds to supporting the charitable works of Rotary Club Matilda Bay and other Subiaco charities. Children under 15 are free, and all entrants (including kids) will receive a free raffle ticket into the hourly draws.
A few minutes walk from the Subiaco train station, Brunch on Roberts promises to be a vibrant new addition to the annual market calendar.
