What's Easter without an indulgence in the sweet sensation of chocolate. Brookside Shopping Centre at Osbourne Road, Mitchelton is about to make Easter all that sweeter with its own Brisbane Chocolate Festival this April.

The Brisbane Chocolate Festival will run from 4 to 17 April 2022 (excluding Good Friday).

This fun, free kid-friendly focussed event will feature doughnut decorating, chocolate-themed mini-golf, sweet soccer and a basket load of prizes to be won.

There are 3 sessions each day at 10 am,11 am and 12pm. Don't miss your spot. Bookings are essential. Make sure you head to Eventbrite to secure your ticket.

Also, be sure to look out for the Community Easter Bunny Project of oversized bunnies which have been creatively and artistically decorated by students at local schools. including Everton Park State School and Grovely State School.

Each piece has been uniquely interpreted. Some honour and capture an ode to current issues such as the horrific war in the Ukraine, indigenous culture and environmental issues. Certainly some big issues for a group of talented young artists.

They are on display between 28 March and 14 April 2022 beside the food court. Just look out for the archway and walk through the display to get up close to the children's artwork.
