I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.
Feeling daunted by the approaching school holidays? Make the end of September something to look forward to by deciding to attend the The Brooklyn Spring Fair and Markets, which will take place on Sunday September 22 at Brooklyn Soccer Oval in Brooklyn.
The event will run from 10.00am to 4.00pm, with a whole heap of fun to be had throughout the day. There will be pony rides, a petting zoo and a free reptile show at 12.00pm for the kids, as well as amusement rides for everyone (including a giant slide).
Local bands and performers will provide entertainment and over sixty stalls will be selling handicraft, clothing, homewares and jewellery. Fresh produce, including local prawns and oysters, will also be available, as well meals to suit all taste buds. The Pony Poo contest will be back, and you can even try your luck in a major raffle.
Entry to the Brooklyn Spring Fair and Markets is a gold coin and all the money raised will go towards the Hawkesbury River Child Care Centre, which uses the event as its annual fundraiser. 2013 marks the 18th year the fair has been held.
