Brisbane's premier Rugby League Team, the Brisbane Broncos and Advancing Regional Innovation Program (ARIP), in partnership with Ipswich City Council are bolding its inaugural NRMA Insurance Broncos hackathon.

Hackathons are events held over several days where 50-100 participants assemble into teams to create and present solutions to a business topic.

The BroncoosHack will be held at Fire Station 101 in Ipswich over a weekend from Friday 8 Sunday 10 March 2019 to look at innovative ideas and ways to engage its fans and improve its fans experience. Firestation 101 is the perfect venue being an innovation hub that helps startups, entrepreneurs and innovators to rapidly create and grow their business.

The Brisbane Broncos are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Brisbane, which had its origins in April 1988.

This unique and exciting competition is an opportunity for those with a flair for ideas and an interest in change to discuss, brainstorm, and create innovative solutions to increase fan engagement.

Hackathon - solution development and creation

Sunday, 10 March 2019
Hackathon - finalise solutions and pitches to judges

All materials will be provided including briefing material, a creative workspace, WiFi, VR device, meals and beverages. On top of all that, teams will benefit from mentoring advice from experts from industry, business and technology in supporting them to fine-tune their ideas, business models and pitches.

If you are interested in taking part you can register now as a group of up to 5 people or an individual. Please note that this is an 18 years and over only event, Tickets are $22.19 and available through Eventbrite.
