The British Film Festival celebrates the finest filmmakers and acting talent British cinema has to offer and will showcase powerful true stories and literary adaptations to biographies and documentaries. Featuring some of the most anticipated films, it includes AMMONITE starring Kate Winslet & Saoirse Ronan - a story of forbidden love set in 1840s England; MISBEHAVIOUR with Keira Knightley n a charming and farcical comedy about true story feminist protesters who disrupted the 1970 Miss World beauty competition in London; and Festival favourite Dame Judi Dench in SIX MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT where a discovery at a school for the daughters of the Nazi elite leads to a series of deadly events in this true story war drama.

THE NEST, a dramatic thriller comes from its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival and features Jude Law. A British entrepreneur and his American family begin to take a twisted turn after moving into an English country manor. SUMMERLAND is a romantic drama set in World War II with Gemma Arterton (poster pic) as an English woman who opens her heart to an evacuee in a touching story of love and friendship.

The retrospective screenings all screened in stunning 4K restoration include classics like THE ELEPHANT MAN, an unforgettable story of dignity and survival; and classic cult sci-fi adventure FLASH GORDON, adapted from the 1930s comic-strip serial and with a soundtrack composed, performed and produced by Queen no less. Both titles are celebrating their 40th anniversary. Stay tuned for more details by subscribing.
