Brisbane's Secret Riverfront Park

Completely by accident, I stumbled across this secluded riverfront park and picnic/BBQ area. I had actually pulled into its little carpark to get my bearings, but the sight before me was so pretty I couldn't resist getting out of the car to take a closer look.
For the most part the park was shaded by majestic old trees, with dappled sunlight dancing through the leaves and branches. A lone BBQ sat directly in front of a tree lined riverbank and close by a picnic table. Under the protection of a shady tree a children's playground seemed to be begging for attention.
Considering it was a public holiday and close to lunch time, I couldn't believe this picturesque spot hadn't been nabbed. What surprised me more was that after searching the perimeter I couldn't find a sign indicating that the park had a name. Curious, I searched online maps when I got home and the park did indeed seem to be nameless; I didn't know such parks existed.
This park is not huge but there's room to BBQ, picnic and play a bit of family cricket or football. It's tranquil, secluded, lush green and in a glorious riverfront location with spectacular views. The only thing missing is toilet facilities, but if you're really desperate, there are facilities a kilometre or two down the road in the middle of the
Yeronga Corso Reserve .
To find this secret nameless park go to the end of TJ Doyle Memorial Park Drive where it meets with Princess Street, opposite the bottom of the Dutton Park Cemetery.
