Brisbane's Zombie Walk
Are you the type of person who is brought back from the dead? Perhaps you enjoy the taste of human brains? Well I do hope none of my readers are any of that but you can pretend to be one at the Brisbane's Zombie Walk!
Zombie Walk is a charity organisation that raises money for the Brain Foundation of Australia. It involves thousands of human beings pretending to be the un-dead for a brief walk around Brisbane's CBD. Although the walk itself is free, the organisers have asked politely to all participants to donate a gold coin.
This year the Zombie Walk has also added an Apocalypse Undead Festival. The festival is a chance for all the fellow zombies to come together as a community, and give everyone a chance to mingle with sponsors, watch some zombie rated movies, dance to music, watch live performances from local bands, check out the DIE-gon Alley which is filled with market stalls, and even get zombie-fied at the make up booths.
Like any other festival, tickets will need to be purchased. The cost for a single ticket is $30 or for a family that involves 2 Adults and 2 Children it will cost $45. But all profits from the festival will go directly to the Brain Foundation of Australia.
But for those who are only interested in the walk itself, it will begin approximately 3pm at the Southbank Parklands, but more information will be provided as the event comes closer as it still is 5 months away still.
Being a participant of the Zombie Walk, I can honestly say, it is an amazing and hilarious experience- as you walk around attempting to scare the general public. Without a doubt, the organisers have made it a safe and enjoyable event for both adults and children. So bring your friends and family, and prepare for the apocalypse.
