I think I've just stumbled upon one of the greatest innovations since man created the electrical washing machine. Okay, now that I have your attention I admit that is a slight exaggeration but I'm not lying when I say the Brisbane Women's Club founded in 1908 by Margaret Ann Ogg is a rare find indeed.
While researching information for another article, I came across this unique women's club located in the heart of Brisbane's CBD. At first glance the club held the characteristics similar to that of a women's networking place. This would have been enough to stir my interest, however, further investigation revealed I had indeed discovered something distinct for the women of Brisbane.
Aimed at unifying and supporting women of all ages, the Brisbane Women's Club provide an ideal place where women of all backgrounds can go to socialise, network, make new friends and support each other. Not only does this little gem welcome all women into their club, it hosts so many exciting social events my calendar is no longer looking so desolate. There was no turning back and I knew I was obliged to report my findings to the women of Brisbane.

In all seriousness, their social networking features, events and sincere womanly support are not the only reason I think the Brisbane Women's Club is a rare find. As a club they faithfully support numerous charity organisations and events including the Salvation Army Pindari Women's Homeless Shelter, Cancer Council Queensland, Dress for Success, Pets in Crisis and the 139 Club. As a club member, you can team up with the other ladies to support various community initiatives. Visit the website to find out more information about becoming a member.
Room Hire The club houses three stylish function rooms available for hire which are ideal for any business or social happening. When you book your event in one of the Brisbane Women's Club rooms you'll have access to their commercial kitchen facilities and, if required, they'll arrange gourmet catering for your event.
