The 11th annual is on again this November. Due to the huge number of events planned for this years event, it has been extended to cover two days, so you can really make a full weekend of it.

The festival was established in 2000 to showcase the beautiful waterways of the Woy Woy Peninsula and its largest primary industry, the oyster farming industry. At the same time a very large amount of money has been raised for worthwhile causes such as The Cancer Council NSW for breast cancer research and Gosford Hospital.

Like any good festival, there will be a wide range of food and drinks to purchase, including beer and wine, as well as other market and craft stalls to keep you busy between the main attractions and entertainment. If you are feeling up for it, you could even join up to be part of the action. There will be a "How Many Oysters Can You Eat in 30 Seconds" competition as well as a prawn eating contest, tug-o-war and treasure hunt.

When you are due for a rest you could take some time out by the stage area and relax to the sounds of the musical performers or jump straight back to the action at the Woodchopping Arena or seafood cooking demonstrations. The kids will enjoy the amusement and animal rides, and face painting.

The Ettalong Beach Tourist area, at the corner of Ocean View Road and Schnapper Road, will be the location for Saturdays festivities, running from 9am until around 4pm. Attractions include:

The Kamis - six family members with big voices and fantastic dance movements - will also perform.
