Try delicious vegan food at Sunday market
Being vegan means a person does not eat meat, they eat plant-based foods and they do not use animal products like fur, leather or wool. Many native African communities eat a diet consisting of sweet potatoes, corn, beans, millet, bananas etc and scientists have found they are far healthy and robust than their western counterparts who eat a diet of sugar, white flour and canned foods.
Australia's first monthly Vegan Market is now going to be held twice a month on the second and fourth Sunday. On the second Sunday, times will be 9.00am to 3.00pm and the fourth Sunday times will be 12 noon to 8.00pm. This is your chance to taste some of the delicious meals and snacks on offer and savour the flavours not laced with sugar processed ingredients. Why not try a Moroccan spiced patty with coyo tzatziki and chilli tomato, pickles and rocket and finish up with a custard tart and a drink from the bar!
The Brisbane Vegan Markets is situated on the corner of Boundary Road and Russel Street in South Brisbane. Entry is free.
