There's something magical about watching a film that is so bad, so weird or so utterly incomprehensible that you can't help but scratch your head and say, "Wow."
Back for its second year, The Brisbane Underground Film Festival aims to bring you a whole lot of that "Wow' by showcasing seven of the best films you've probably never heard of. If you have heard of them then they're probably too controversial to be shown anywhere else in Brisbane anyway.
The program for this years BUFF runs over three days. Check out some of what is on offer:
Thurs 13th Oct
7pm Who Took the Bomp? Le Tigre on Tour, 72 mins 9pm Vacation! (screens with After the Rainbow), 96 mins
Fri 14th Oct
7pm Charlie Casanova (screens with Riding in Between) 98 mins
9pm Profane (screens with The African Word for Summer) 86 mins Sat 15th Oct 12pm Grant Morrison: Talking With Gods (screens with Everything is Super), 94 mins
7pm Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure (screens with From Water), 89 mins
9pm Hobo With a Shotgun (screens with Glory Hole), 94 mins
So whether you're really into your flicks or you just want to see something that isn't a comic book remake, head along to the BUFF and set your eyes to wow.
