If you're tired of breathing the carbon monoxide from passing cars while running on the road, then check out the Brisbane Trail Running Series. Organised by Those Guys Events and supported by organisations like Body Science International, Suunto, Injinji Performance Products and Altra Australia, the Series take you off-road to various nature trails around Brisbane. Trail running gets you out into the wilderness where the air is fresh and the soft ground offers a more comfortable run than asphalt. That also means a great workout with the lessen chance of an overuse injury.
The Brisbane Trail Running Series is centred around the Brisbane bushlands and covers a range of terrains and natural environments both north and south of the Brisbane river. It is divided into 4 events starting from October 2014 and ending in March 2015. All events include a long and short course option that caters to runners of all ability and experience levels.
