Need to get around but don't have your own car, or just wanting to save yourself the trouble of driving around the city? As well as trains, buses and ferries, taxis are a convenient option for those using public transport.

There are two main cab companies available for those who want to use them.

Black and White Cabs
Black and White Cabs operate in the Brisbane, Caboolture, Logan, Redlands and Pine Rivers areas. As well as phoning them on 133 222 (13 ecab), you can also order a black and white cab online or even through an ecab text message.

The Black and White Cabs online website includes a fare estimator, news headlines, links to Facebook live feed and a list of corporate partners such as these few:
~ Surf Safe Appeal
~ Queensland Tourism Industry Council
~ Oktoberfest Brisbane
~ Queensland Hotels Association

Yellow Cabs
Yellow Cabs offer four types of vehicles for service: yellow cabs, silver service, maxi taxis and MPTs (multi passenger taxis).

The numbers for each service are as listed:
Traditional Yellow Cabs: 13 19 24
Silver Service: 133 100
Maxi Taxi: 13 62 94
MPT: 133 554

The general yellow cabs number is 13 227 (or 13 cabs) but a cab can also be ordered online or via text message.

Maxi Taxis and MPTs are mainly used in transporting groups of people to events, airport transfers or tours and can come with wheelchair access as well.

The yellow cabs website also features a fare estimator, news headlines and passenger information such as: Passenger Safety and Lost Property.

Both cab companies operate 24 hours, 7 days a week, so if you ever get stuck, need a lift or just don't feel like driving, call a cab.
