Brisbane's Western Suburb's Presents Markets at Karana Downs
Karana Downs is located in South East Queensland and west of the Brisbane CBD. Although the developer named Karana Downs, it is said that the name "Karana" is an Aboriginal name meaning "quiet place". The locality, which includes Mount Crosby, Kholo and Lake Manchester as well as Karana Downs were originally part of the City of Ipswich however, the residents lobbied to become part of the City of Brisbane and in 2000, this became a reality.
On Sunday 23rd February 2020, the Brisbane River Markets – Karana Downs is hosting their markets at the Brisbane River Golf Club, 212 College Road, Karana Downs. It is a morning market commencing at 8.00am and concluding at noon. Don't worry about having breakfast at home, come down to the markets and try some of the delicious food on sale there. This is a monthly market.
Returning this year, the markets have heaps of new stalls and the old ones you love are returning. If you have goods you would like to sell, you can become a stallholder by making an application here.
Don't forget to wear good walking shoes, wear a hat and sunglasses if it is a hot day, and a basket to take your goods home.
