For a great day out, come along to the Brisbane Organic Growers Fair on Sunday 13 October.
This completely free event will indulge you in all sorts of family fun. Browse the stalls and you may find something you've been looking for; watch demonstrations and perhaps learn a few tricks; feast on food available here; and don't forget to drop by the animal nursery with your children.
From 9am to 3pm, the Albion Peace Hall and its nearby park will be transformed into an organic wonderland, where you'll find yourself surrounded by organic growers to inspire you and answer your questions, and a kaleidoscope of vegetable plants, herbs as well as fruit trees for your garden. For all your gardening needs just visit the stalls as they are guaranteed to have everything that you need such as seedlings, gardening books and tools. What's more, organic fertilisers, additives and pest solutions will also be available for purchase. The one thing that this fair won't be short of is the supply of fruit trees because there will be three stallholders there to give you all your fruity needs.
As you stroll through the stalls, smells from the cafe will be wafting through and will have you magnetised with their delicious organic sausages cooked on the spot, quiches, salads, cakes, tea and coffee. And make sure you check out the produce auction from 2.30pm.
